Ingress Prime and Devra talks with P.A. Chapeau at the #EXO5 Finale

So, Ingress Prime is coming and this means a reboot/change/something for the lore surrounding Niantic - from the article,

Devra: Did you know I was almost assassinated that night?

PA: Please forgive me.

Devra: Roland Jarvis was assassinated that night with some unknown lady and that was supposed to be me. Are you telling me that you're responsible for that?

Devra: Was Calvin in control of ADA?

PA: I don't know.

Can Devra Help Hank? Portal Virus and ADA

It has been quiet, but many things still spin on. Two items recently released may link more to Devra and her past and future actions.


A post of a chat between Calvin and Azmati reveal that Azmati is tracking Hank. A mention of Devra, Arecibo and Hank and Devra's past is made; will Hank seek out Devra? Is this a type of second chance for Devra with Hank?  What if you got a do-over with someone?


In yesterday's Ingress Report, there were . Could Devra's research be used to stop the intentions of ADA? Would Devra work with others to prevent ADA's actions?  Richard Loeb has posted about wishing to stop ADA, it will be interesting to see what the next steps taken might be.

A Kind of Portal Virus

A portion of the July 10th Ingress Report featured an audio clip of a partial conversation between Dr. Ezekiel Calvin and Dr. Devra Bogdanovich.

Devra: Calvin, I can't wait for the vaccine to be ready. We have to act now. There is something we discovered during research. (some digital beeps are heard) Keep watching the portal. On July 11th, Dr. Martin Schubert released a post regarding an observed increased decay rate in portals.

from the post: I'm sure by now most of you have seen the revelations on the “Ingress Report” about the work by Dr. +Devra Bogdanovich and the CDC on a so-called Portal Virus.

I began investigating as soon as I heard.  Initial results show increased Portal Decay. At this point I am unable to say exactly how much, but the increase seems greater than 200%.  Fully charged Portals will decay in 72 hours

ON July 12th Stein Lightman posted about a change in the amount of XM constructs put out by Glyph Hacking.

Where is this all leading? Is this a system that is connected and we are seeing how changes in one component ripple through to other parts of the system? Is this manipulation by certain people, corporations, entities?

Three items of note have come out lately regarding Devra - It seems Devra is going ahead with her vaccine and withdrawing even more from those around her.  In a strange way she shares the trait of burning bridges that OLW possesses.

Many of you have asked why I haven't stepped forward to aid +Hank Johnson.

The simple fact is, I can't. My vaccine will prevent others from the unknown effects of XM. For Hank, it's too late. 

Whatever he is, whether he is truly some shadow mirrored in XM or whether he has merely been driven insane from XM exposure, it is beyond my ability to offer a cure. 

Hank's plight should stand as a warning to others who would tempt fate and violate the natural order.

As my dad used to say, we stand between a rock and a hard place. On one side, ADA's uncontrolled need to expand and evolve at a pace that we cannot comprehend, much less control, threatens to bring about a future where we are, at best, irrelevant and at worst, extinct. On the other side, the insidious and largely unknown effects of Exotic Matter pose a grave threat to body and mind alike.

I see ruin on both roads. The defense industrial complex, who have never met a new technology they didn’t see promise in as a weapon, has tried to stop me by poisoning public opinion and sending assassins after me.  But I continue to move forward and take faith in my work. Documents have been leaked that reveal a very troubling turn for Devra as well as the renewed goal of the westernization of XM, please, if you  read this, take care Doctor. Your work and methods have been questioned by many and the plea for transparency still exists, but it seems there are some who with to remove your work, completely.

I find it quite heartening and a bit amusing that the unenlightened are utterly unaware of my activities.

I will never confirm nor deny the veracity of yesterday's release from Hulong which concerned a private conversation between Zeke Calvin and myself.  However, I do protest the posting of such things without verification.  Private conversations should remain private.

On a lighter note, I have heard rumors that Tycho is releasing another comic.  It is fun to see the events of your life illustrated, despite the fact that those were very hard days.  Of course, as much of what is in Tycho's comic relates to classified material, I have to be careful about what I say.

The conversation brings up a number of points to think about


1. Devra is very much alive and has been working, as Oliver Lynton-Wolfe alluded to in his post, on her vaccine.  I am hoping the fact that she is still working on it, means she is testing it through proper scientific methods and is following those beliefs she displayed at the beginning of the Niantic Project. She admits she is not sure, and adds a little more to why.  She also leaves the door open, "It's the best option I see" - so perhaps instead of calling this plan fool-hardy it is better to see to what she considers a vaccine an option and providing a valid alternative that accomplishes the same effect (don;t just call her dumb or stupid, provide a viable alternative to the solution she seeks)

2. Devra reached out to Calvin (I am guessing based on how the chat begins) - so I wonder, why? Is she trying to find an ally? 

3. Why did Calvin say it depends on whether Jarvis trusts him?  What an odd phrase.  Although I did mention in a comment to OLW that he has BIT every single hand he tried to work with and what will be different about Jarvis

4. I had thought perhaps Loeb and/or Bowles could be behind the glyph game and other changes.  We've not heard much from Bowles since the revelation in +Felicia Hajra-Lee about 855 wanting him to find a way against ADA. What ever came of that?  And what about OMnivore, is it still out there and cranking away? Is it moving towards ADA status as well?

5. +H. Richard Loeb in hiding, I still wonder if that was Loeb's distorted voice talking to Moyer and he and she have been working together. Maybe what she does not want us to find out is that she is +Verity Seke :)

6. CLONING - I was waiting for the ethics of immortality and Patterning to make it to the table. I think this deserves a separate post and reply.

7. We see it was Devra that brought in the term simulacrums - any comment on this +Edgar Allan Wright - is this why in your post you said you are not a simulacrum - did you mean you are not an XM pattern restored?  What is the official definition in this case of an XM simulacrum (yes, I happen to like to know word definitions ;) 

8. Devra's last words are important to me too - it shows hope that she is not mass blanketing, but she is taking one potential and developing a counter to it. If there are issues with XM - it is nice to have options - I think ANY agent here agrees options rather than something forced are what we all care about.  And yes, some could argue she is using an old definition of natural and we are evolving into needing new definitions (again me with the definitions LOL - but, that is the way science progresses - through definition - just like language and how word meanings evolve over time

Devra and Calvin Alliance?

A document leaked records a conversation between Calvin and Devra.

Could they be going into an alliance? To me, it seems lately there is no alliances, simply people work together on different pieces when it is needed.

I wonder what research methods Devra will use and if she happens to know Serina (a person known to Hank and Thomas Greanias).

I do wish we could find more of Devra's work, or be able to speak to her more, or just to try and understand why her stance changed so much from her earlier views.

And last, but not least, the Bowie Papers once again are a topic of interest. Just how did that piece of history and those portal/glyphs/ancient XM tie into the larger line.... are they a piece of 13Magnus, something larger, something smaller????

CALVIN: Don't know. I think I've got a pretty good track on him. One thing doesn't make sense though. He seems obsessed with something he's calling the Bowie papers.
DEVRA: They were lost at the Alamo. Supposedly penned by Jim Bowle. Hank thinks he stumbled onto some XM sites in Texas.

More on Devra's past and Oliver Lynton-Wolfe who is he and where will he go

A post from Dr. Edgar Wright suggested to review what had been revealed regarding Devra and her past relationships.  I realize a better timeline can be generated and will be working on that over the upcoming holiday to try and update and improve the timeline (as that is one of the goals of this blog and research).

Post - " Like all whose lives have touched Devras, I am extremely concerned for her now. I am quite sure that nefarious forces are following up on a brief reference she made to having been at Arecibo and meeting Hank Johnson twenty years ago.  Stupid me, I had not put together that Johnson was the young Grad Student she met there who was studying certain ancient sites in the area.  Now, things are much clearer.  I now understand Dr. School's anger at the time.  Devra was young and confused.  If then grad student Johnson was doing what I think he was doing, I hope for her own sake that she is aware of the dangers that stalk her now. 

As for me, my research is showing a subtle 'change in things' coming. But I can say no more for now.

Yesterday a communication between Calvin and Lorazon and a profile on Oliver Lynton-Wolfe done by Hulong TransGlobal show how important yet dangerous OLW is to the XM race.

I wonder sometimes if the doctor is simply misunderstood or is completely unbalanced. Devra did share sata and research with him, so there is still potential for Oliver to end up in Visur's employ. But I wonder, does her really work for anyone?
