NL1331 and Hank Johnson's State

So much has come through the streams the last few days.  So far only one small comment from Devra, but will post more if she shares.

Here are a few posts on the contents of the film. It ends with what looks like the body of Hank Johnson.  Many believe Hank is dead, others he is alive, and others, well, he is something else.

 Yes. In part. This seems to be one specifically associated with Alexander. The Glyph is used again, but the framing is different. It appears to be in an Ionic Coffin (make your own decision on that).  And the glyph, if mirrored seems to come to 1331.  That number has unknown significance, but I am working on it.

Unusual Post - Is Devra ok?

Devra posted an atypical post on Feb. 22 - there were a few statements that seemed out of character, was this an accidental post, or is something wrong with Devra and this is an attempt to communicate that danger?

+Lukas Lentz Obviously, we all remember things differently. My recollections differ from both Tycho and +Felicia Hajra-Lee , but bear in mind, my perspective was different. I saw the world through my eyes.  They see the world through theirs.  +Yik Sheng Lee there are those who would attempt to blame me for the scanner leak, but I believe that it was somebody disguised to look like me. It happened in the Summer before Epiphany night with a fairly primitive version of the scanner that ended up in +ben jackland's hands. I don't know what Bowles' role in this was, if any. It is very hard to investigate something when you can not admit that there is a problem.

I will never confirm nor deny the veracity of yesterday's release from Hulong which concerned a private conversation between Zeke Calvin and myself.  However, I do protest the posting of such things without verification.  Private conversations should remain private.

On a lighter note, I have heard rumors that Tycho is releasing another comic.  It is fun to see the events of your life illustrated, despite the fact that those were very hard days.  Of course, as much of what is in Tycho's comic relates to classified material, I have to be careful about what I say.

The conversation brings up a number of points to think about


1. Devra is very much alive and has been working, as Oliver Lynton-Wolfe alluded to in his post, on her vaccine.  I am hoping the fact that she is still working on it, means she is testing it through proper scientific methods and is following those beliefs she displayed at the beginning of the Niantic Project. She admits she is not sure, and adds a little more to why.  She also leaves the door open, "It's the best option I see" - so perhaps instead of calling this plan fool-hardy it is better to see to what she considers a vaccine an option and providing a valid alternative that accomplishes the same effect (don;t just call her dumb or stupid, provide a viable alternative to the solution she seeks)

2. Devra reached out to Calvin (I am guessing based on how the chat begins) - so I wonder, why? Is she trying to find an ally? 

3. Why did Calvin say it depends on whether Jarvis trusts him?  What an odd phrase.  Although I did mention in a comment to OLW that he has BIT every single hand he tried to work with and what will be different about Jarvis

4. I had thought perhaps Loeb and/or Bowles could be behind the glyph game and other changes.  We've not heard much from Bowles since the revelation in +Felicia Hajra-Lee about 855 wanting him to find a way against ADA. What ever came of that?  And what about OMnivore, is it still out there and cranking away? Is it moving towards ADA status as well?

5. +H. Richard Loeb in hiding, I still wonder if that was Loeb's distorted voice talking to Moyer and he and she have been working together. Maybe what she does not want us to find out is that she is +Verity Seke :)

6. CLONING - I was waiting for the ethics of immortality and Patterning to make it to the table. I think this deserves a separate post and reply.

7. We see it was Devra that brought in the term simulacrums - any comment on this +Edgar Allan Wright - is this why in your post you said you are not a simulacrum - did you mean you are not an XM pattern restored?  What is the official definition in this case of an XM simulacrum (yes, I happen to like to know word definitions ;) 

8. Devra's last words are important to me too - it shows hope that she is not mass blanketing, but she is taking one potential and developing a counter to it. If there are issues with XM - it is nice to have options - I think ANY agent here agrees options rather than something forced are what we all care about.  And yes, some could argue she is using an old definition of natural and we are evolving into needing new definitions (again me with the definitions LOL - but, that is the way science progresses - through definition - just like language and how word meanings evolve over time

Glyph Game and What is the Jarvis Society

It is here.  This document was released yesterday ahead of scanner update 1.45.3

An Operation Essex Agent has created this form for more accurate information gathering on glyphs. Please add any glyph sequences you hack in the game to help us see if these messages are just random or perhaps they are being directed - http://goo.gl/rDXqlU

Four people responded to the glyph game being released, including Devra.  This gives hope she is still alive and able to post. Hopefully it is in an unrestricted capacity.  Here is her post:

I have heard disturbing but unconfirmed reports of a new glyph application in some Ingress Scanners.  These must be verified. We need to establish the vector of this hack.  While there is debate on this subject, my official warning is that you use glyphs carefully.

Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe left a comment, one which could be seen as an attack. Although, it is hoped Devra is collecting data and creating a voluntary response to XM exposure, not a forced one as that would place her in the same position as those she is worried about.

Pevtsov makes a move and Devra is Quiet

A few things have been collected.  In this post - https://plus.google.com/u/0/+NianticProject/posts/LkhUHfnwGYq a conversation between Illya and Yuri highlights a few things.  Of concern is a potential confirmation Devra left Visur (to me the wording is vague and could be interpreted in a few ways). It also seems to validate that Devra has been working on some form of inoculation. It also seems to hint at the fountain of youth comments that Dr. Edgar Allan Wright has made.  Is the boundary of death truly being broken.

Nagassa: Of course. Machines that could contain the human intelligence, a sort of eternal existence. Is this what you are interested in, Mr. Pevtsov?
Pevstov: Not exactly. What you describe is alarming. This is not the life I wish for myself, I woudln't want to exist in a world supervised by machines. But I know you are aware of other ways existing. I would like to know more about the phenomenon you've reported to Calvin earlier on in Geneva, related to XM effect on human cells.
Pevstov[Nagassa in fact]: You are aware of this? You are worth of your reputation. At the moment this is only a theory, Mr. Pevtsov, quite a fragile one.
Pevstov: Enlighten me.
Nagassa: XM has many positive effects on human physiology. Repairing the cells, provided the dosage is enough, is one of them. Also, there is a concept of storing XM to create and save the entire record of human body down to subatomic level, which will give a possibility of... re-usage in future.
Pevstov: Yes, I think Jarvis referred to this as "patterning". You would probably not be suprised, that some clients are ready to make substantial payments to save their physiology as a recording and for further ability of keeping it in this configuration.
Nagassa: Source of youth fuelled by XM? Yes, I thought about this usage. You could restore the  organic form from the last "pattern". Or any previous "pattern" if it exists.
Pevstov: Great idea, that the world is ready for. It has lots of riches but nothing to purchase anymore. The new economy will be based on buying impressions [/emotions].
Nagassa: The risks are incredibly high, but if you are ready for them, there is some potential.

Hank Johnson Video Diary and Being Lost

 This is very disturbing. And I have started a plea on G+ and will continue it here, Hank is lost, Devra maybe lost too. But perhaps if Devra can find Hank, they can both help each other.

I've been wandering the streets of Berlin. I've seen many things familiar to me: the embassy, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg Gate. I have clear memories of a surveillance training exercise in 1993; felt like a game for us at the time.  Little did I know that friends would later die because they, they didn’t play it well enough.  What I don’t know is why I’m here. The trip to the cave it, it doesn’t make sense. So I’ve been walking, thinking, step by step trying to clear away the noise. I know there’s a message for me. Maybe it’s in the portals. I just need to see through the wave to the water.

Sometimes messages come to me. Usually as images, just a snapshot, like a, like a frame lifted from a movie. Often they come when I’m near portals. Lately I’ve been seeing glyphs as well. Sometimes I’m in the images, but, but I’m not seeing myself from my own perspective. I’m seeing myself from someplace else; from the portal looking back at me.  It’s me I’m seeing, but it’s not me. It’s a different reality. Sometimes the things I see, well, they happen. I see them before they happen. That’s saved my life more than once.  In Afghanistan I walked into the U.N. office in Kabul. The guard standing outside the Director’s office caught my eye. In that moment I knew he was going to use his AKA to shoot everyone in the room. The day before I’d seen a single image while I was meditating, his face looking over at me as he fired his weapon. When I recognized him in the office, I didn’t say anything, I just left. I was only a little startled when I heard him empty the clip behind me. I should have stopped him, but I didn’t trust the visions so much then. Now I do.

What I don’t understand is why? What do they want me to do?  Why are they talking to me? I know they’ve made civilizations great. I’m certain they were whispering to Alexander even as he marched to his death, but why me?  Jarvis is not them. He’s not what they are. He hears them like I do.  Sees visions, I’m sure of it. I think he really died that night in Zurich. What he is now, I’m starting to think I know that too. And that’s what scares me.  And so I’m here. There’s one man who knows the answer, Azmati. He was there the first time. He saw what happened and he left. Why? Why didn’t he wait for me? What did he see? I think I know. That’s where I’m going now. God and Allah together can’t help me if I’m right.

A new year and new revelations, but where is Devra

Welcome to a New Year and sorry for the silence, that is primarily due to the fact that there has not been much from or related to Devra. This archivist is rather worried and hopes all is well for the good Doctor.

I did want to share two items, one was actually recorded at the beginning of the Niantic Project, so while it is an "older" document, it reveals new things about the initial Niantic team, including Devra.

Here is the little blurb about Devra, although you learn small tidbits about her as you listen to the entire briefing. She has a very light manner, positive and enjoys a little humor and is certain the world will be changed.  Oh how she has changed since the recording of this meeting.

Devra: Let me start by thanking you all for coming. If you had a chance to walk around the facility, you’ve undoubtedly seen CERN is not much to look at from the outside. But hidden within there are amazing wonders. I think that might also describe our eclectic and diverse group. Now there’ll be a full personnel briefing later this afternoon, but I wanted to take a moment to introduce the individuals that comprise the Niantic Project team. They are about to become the most important people in your life.  

For those of you who I haven’t met personally, I’m Dr. Devra Bogdanovich (some clapping) I… (Devra pauses as clapping dies down) I’ve been tasked to lead Niantic. I’m a theoretical quantum researcher from Stanford University. Which is to say that I study discrete individual units of energy called quanta. An interesting fact about quanta it that it is physically impossible to know both the location and the momentum of an individual particle at the same time. So, what might frustrate a less scattered mind is something I am quite comfortable with, which may be the reason I was recruited by Dr. Calvin to head this project in the first place.
