This blog collects all of my research on Dr. Devra Bogdanovich as well as becoming a way to tell her story. You can check the What is thispage for an overview of the project, or browse through the Bio and Career pages to learn about Dr. Bogdanovich's work and life. The main part of the blog will serve as a journal of my journey to document my research and to pay homage to a distinguished scientist.
I have been away and not been documenting the incredible journey Devra is on. I will have more soon, but I had to share this. It seems Devra may be linked to the events occurring with Shonin.
I looked at the changing face of Devra some time ago in this post. I will be updating that with more changes and if this does prove to be related, I will add that as well.
Felicia Hajra-Lee has posted another glimpse, Devra's journey continues, as does, it seems, her transformation, or metamorphosis or....
Devra was in a box. Not figuratively, but literally. A converted shipping container, maybe like one of those micro hotel rooms she’d heard of in Asia, but shielded somehow and being bombarded with Exotic Matter. They weren’t trying to torture her... maybe they were studying her through cameras, but if they were, she wasn’t very interesting to watch. She spent most of her time meditating – recompiling herself. Trying to survive this.
How long had it been? She didn’t know. That was speculation. It had been days. Maybe weeks. She had no way to measure time. She also had no way to measure what the inoculation had done to her.
She did know what it had done to those who had come in contact with her. Hwang had – the best word she could use for it – self-destructed – had what looked like a seizure, expending the last of his energy to crawl into a fetal ball… and die . The world had been amazingly clear for Devra. It was like a game. She heard guards running down the hall. The door was locked. There was no key card on Hwang’s body thus the only point of vulnerability was the giant two way window. Devra had thrown a chair through it. It shattered. She saw Fan in a catatonic state. She wasn’t dead... not yet. She was still breathing. Devra felt nothing as she watched Fan. It wasn’t coldness. It was absence. There was only one relevant issue. She was breathing.
Guards broke in. Their reaction was, in some ways similar to Hwangs. Only Antoine Smith was unaffected. But then he’d been exposed to Dark XM before.
He subdued her. When she awoke, it was in the box. She had been there ever since.
She liked the darkness. Seeing was painful in its clarity. It was like seeing the world without ornamentation – like a flowchart or an engineering diagram. Without sentiment. Without illusion. Pure. Not exactly like the dripping text in the Matrix, but somehow she was reminded of the metaphor.
Her guess was that Hwang died from from the shock brought on by this. From the sharpness of this sight. The same phenomena, shielded by the glass had frozen, maybe killed Fan.
The box was moving. To where? As best she could discern it had been transported out of the lab by truck and loaded onto an airplane. She could only speculate on speed and direction.
But she was being taken somewhere. Where and for what purpose?
She had worked out three scenarios: 1) She was being taken to a remote facility for study. 2) She was being taken to a distant place to be killed with no traces leading back to Hulong. 3) She was simply being taken ‘away’ without a plan, while various interested parties argued over what to do.
A new document surfaced about Devra's potential whereabouts.

00:00:00 Ni: Hubert Farlowe
00:00:01 Farlowe: Director.
00:00:02 Ni: Not my title anymore.
00:00:05 Farlowe: Too bad. It always suited you.
00:00:09 Ni: It's about Devrea. I know you are...loyal... to her.
00:00:16 Farlowe: I'm listening.
00:00:18 Ni: We brought her to Hulong. She created a disruption. I had to ask that she be removed, but I suspect there are some who are planning to...harm her, greviously. I don't want that to happen.
00:00:35 Farlowe: I tracked her to Australia, but I'm having trouble dialing in an exact location. It would be really helpful if you could give me one.
00:00:45 Ni: You tracked her. How?
00:00:48 Farlowe: I'm a tracker? More importantly, I'm a sensative. The minute she experienced fear, I picked her up. I'm guessing she's afraid of whoever she is with, and I'm guessing that's Smith.
00:01:04 Ni: I'll tell you where she is, but I need Smith back alive.
00:01:09 Farlowe: He doesn;t kill Devra, I don't kill him.
00:01:13 Ni: I have your word?
00:01:15 Farlowe: You have to ask?
--------
So Hubert is protecting Devra, has some ability to sense her, is tracking her fear and is seems is heading to Australia to find Devra and potentially interact with Smith. I am looking forward to that.
Felicia Hajra-Lee has shared more of Devra's trip to Hulong. It seems Devra has taken her research to a different level, one that may have unintended consequences, or, as seen in the one excerpt shared by Felicia, may have been the intention all along. Also, we see Hubert is still, at least as of Atlanta, helping Dr. Bogdanovich.I do wonder at this quote from Felicia, "She had what she wanted. Which meant that for now, Farlowe had what he needed. A reason to keep going. "
After the interview with Susanna Moyer, we saw Devra head off in a helicopter. After some silence. There was a short response to how agents responded to her interview.
I must say that I have been surprised by some events lately. The posting of my termination letter from the University seems quite unprofessional. And, quite honestly, I did not expect the vitriol of the response to Susanna’s interview with me. Am I not following the original Resistance path? The path of caution? The path of safety? Yes. I did some things that at one time I was stringently opposed to, but where is the outrage for all of the others who are wantonly exposing the world to XM, and, I fear, Dark XM for profit and perhaps other, more sinister reasons? Are not those members of the Resistance who actually desire to unleash the N’zeer even more culpable than I... I could argue that they are more culpable than even the Enlightened... The Enlightened are gullible, the Resistance risk turning Earth into a transdimensional battlefield.
Then more silence before two more posts, the first from Felicia Hajra-Lee and then one from Devra. It seems Devra has gone to Hulong Transglobal in an effort to continue her research. Has the fly stepped into the spider's web, and what is it that makes Devra so desperate to continue. AND so confident that she can keep her research in a manner to use it?
I do hope Devra begins to share, although Hulong has a track record of not sharing. I fear for Devra, I truly do.
As some of you had suspected, I am in Shanghai. Do not make any assumptions, but I wanted to keep you posted. I realize that I have a great deal of work to do to regain your trust and confidence. Will keep you abreast of events as they develop.
Been writing again. This moment sprung into mind inspired by something mundane... It almost always happens this way... Felicia
Awaiting the Next Move
Devra had made her move.
It had been a long move. All the way across the a six-thousand four hundred and ninety-one miles that separated Los Angeles from Shanghai.
Now it was their move.
And that was fine.
She had expected to have been met at the airport by a limousine and whisked to Hulong’s Shanghai Headquarters, welcomed as a visiting dignitary and handed a contract and then led to her lab. She had speculated on whether it would be the lab Lynton-Wolfe had been extracted from more than two years ago.
The driver had, instead, delivered her to the Shanghai Sculpture Garden and escorted her to a chair before a sculpture of a red and white chessboard (checkerboard?) with a number of metal arcs symbolizing, she suspected, moves to be made.
She’d need Jarvis to explain the other sculptures scattered around the Sculpture Garden. She was sure that Ni’s choice of venue had some deep and profound meaning. Why else have the hired car drop her here?
Devra didn’t feel like contemplating, speculating, postulating or procrastinating. She was jet-lagged and dejected. The brutal reaction to her interview with Susanna Moyer had stung. Now the sting was gone, in large part thanks to the bottle of champagne that awaited her on Hulong’s G550, but the ache lingered.
She couldn’t help herself. She contemplated: why were the black squares red? That would make the sculpture a checkerboard. Or if the red were black it would be a chess board. Red and White didn’t make any sense. Art with its endless paradoxes, puzzles and contrived irreverence was not stimulating, but simply irritating that morning. As irritating as the too bright sun striking her sunglasses at the wrong angle.
Either Red should be black or white should be black.
It was that kind of jagged bad morning. Old song lyrics came back to her. ‘Out of the white and into the red’. Or was it ‘out of the blue and into the black.’ The rest of the words came back across half-listened-to decades.
_“They give you this, but you pay for that And once you're gone, you can never come back When you're out of the blue and into the black.”_
“Good afternoon, Devra.”
It was the voice of Yuen Ni. Devra turned. Ni looked different. There was a streak of white in her hair. Or maybe it was the light. Her already inscrutable eyes were hidden behind sunglasses. Devra’s response was as automatic as gravity. “Yuen, its wonderful to see you again.”
“You left in CERN in such a hurry.”
“You weren’t there and I had a train to catch,” Devra said. Ni laughed. Devra had never seen the ex-head of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) smile before. Indeed she had a full set of teeth, Devra mused, and my how sharp they were.
Ni’s move was simple and brutal. She’d set it up with a great deal of finesse.
“Did you bring the remainder of the sample vaccine?”
“That wasn’t part of the deal.”
“We don’t have a ‘deal’,” Ni said. And then she made her move. “We have only begun negotiations.”
Devra gives Susanna Moyer an interview. It seems she has only turned more against her and her intentions. Here are her words, if you wish to use them, make sure to use them properly.
Moyer: Doctor Devra Bogdanovich is one of the most decisive
researchers to have emerged from the Niantic Project. In December of 2012, she
fled the secret laboratory located at CERN, in Switzerland, along with Roland
Jarvis, hoping to expose the widespread testing of XM on the human population
in the form of the Ingress scanner device. Ironically she has, not once, but
twice, been caught up in human testing scandals of her own. What caused the change?
First, some history. After Niantic, she joined forces with
the European corporation, Visur; but left there after a short time under the
cloud of a human testing scandal. Most recently she spent almost a year developing
an inoculation that she believed would render Exotic Matter ineffective on the
human mind. An inoculation greatly criticized for its high mortality rate and
human testing program. In addition, she created and released the Portal Virus.
An XM construct that cause d natural portal decay rates to accelerate
dramatically. That was overcome by
agents who worked tirelessly to activate the Helios artifacts and restore the
portal network. Following this she was promptly ejected from her post and also fired
as a tenured professor. Now she is alone and isolated. I was contacted by Dr. Bogdanovich late last
week. She said she wanted the opportunity to clear the air about her work and
her goals. I accepted.

Interview
Moyer: Devra, you're a controversial figure. Some say you're
a hero. Others, even Resistance members, say you are a traitor. Some even question your sanity. Who is the
real Devra Bogdanovich?
Devra: Let's be honest Susanna, I'm on the losing side of a
spin war. There are entities who want to use XM for power and profit.
Moyer: I assume you are referring to organizations like the
NIA. And corporations like Visur and IQTech.
Devra: Exactly, they want to demonize me because I am a
threat to their agendas and profits margins. And I am sure you are aware of the
tactics they use to undermine the truth, given your history.
Moyer: From what we know the inoculation program wasn't
entirely successful.
Devra: It was killed in its infancy. Good science takes time;
it takes testing. And, I was robbed of that opportunity so someone could line
their pocketbooks.
Moyer: And about the fatality rate. Up to 20% I've heard.
Devra: Again, had I
been given time to continue my research, I fully believe that the inoculation could
have been made safer and much more effective. I have no interest in making some
kind of kill pill. That's why they attacked me with such force; my work scared
the hell out of them.
Moyer: There are many who view the XM portals as a potential
threat, but they don't share your, how shall I say, extreme position.
Devra: They are part of the problem. XM changes the way we
think, we know this. The portals are a source of a parasite that is slowly
changing humanity; and anyone who believes otherwise is already gone. Their
minds are gone. They have become the enemy.
Moyer: And what about the Portal Virus, do you consider that
a success?
Devra: Yes. It was a success. It shook the world and showed them
the potential my research holds.
Moyer: Agents and researchers worked together to shut the
virus down. They united against you on an
unprecedented scale. How could you call that a success?
Devra: I am sure you're familiar with the theory that the
Helios artifacts were in essence being hidden by the portal network. My work
enabled them to be uncovered. My work proved that the Shaper portals weren't
opening people's eyes, but blinding them. The portals are keepers, of secrets. Friends
don’t keep secrets, do they?
Moyer: Some people believe that the artifacts, the beacons,
represent the real problem.
Devra: I'm sure that's a wonderful narrative, a narrative of
fear. Keep them scared and keep them in their places. Right?
Moyer: Perhaps. What
do you think the N'Zeer are?
Devra: I don't know and I don’t think it matters. I'll leave
that to Hank Johnson. What matters is that my work to save free will continues.
Moyer: But you've been shut out, how do you intend you
continue?
Devra: Well, I had hoped to go back to the University, but
they are all spineless cowards there as well. They got leaned on and decided I
was unwelcome there. There's now some interest in the private sector in
continuing my work.
Moyer: Is that why we are meeting here?
Devra: I've attacked the powerful and I have no intention of
backing down. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a price on my head. A moving
target is harder to hit. My ride is here.
Moyer: Can you tell me more about this private interest that
intends to help with your research.
Devra: No, but I can tell you one thing, my work is just
beginning and I have no intention of stopping.
Moyer: Dr.
Bogdanovich was airborne minutes after the interview ended, her destination
unknown to me. We do not fully yet understand the implication of her virus, except
the Helios artifacts have brought into the light the hidden mystery of the
N'Zeer, an ancient force that has been buried for thousands of years.
This communication came from Hubert Farlowe. There are a few items of interest regarding Dr. Bogdanovich. Take a look at the post, the location and the comments...
I am glad Dr. Bogdanovich is "relaxed" and "happy" and what "new" thing is she working on?
I hope that redhead is the Doc and hurray if for one brief moment there is a "sort of" peace. And what wounds +Hubert Farlowe ? Physical or emotional?
It has been quiet, but many things still spin on. Two items recently released may link more to Devra and her past and future actions.
A post of a chat between Calvin and Azmati reveal that Azmati is tracking Hank. A mention of Devra, Arecibo and Hank and Devra's past is made; will Hank seek out Devra? Is this a type of second chance for Devra with Hank? What if you got a do-over with someone?
In yesterday's Ingress Report, there were . Could Devra's research be used to stop the intentions of ADA? Would Devra work with others to prevent ADA's actions? Richard Loeb has posted about wishing to stop ADA, it will be interesting to see what the next steps taken might be.
Dr. Bogdanovich continues her work to find ways to eliminate the connection between XM and humans. Her work on the portal virus saw some success, but then was countered with increased XM levels. Her latest message posted yesterday identifies a potential swing back to looking at a type of inoculation for humans rather than focus on burning out portals.
Hubert has also been busy traveling, need to update the map and look at his travel log. He has been quite active and had some cryptic messages along the way. He seems to still be working in some aspect for Devra (see post and comments here and here for example), although, as always, that work and status are vague and uncertain.
